Earlier, the prosecution had asked for a sentence of one year in prison for former chairman Yoo.



Former Chairman Yoo, in a YouTube channel 'Alileo' in December 2019 and a press interview in July 2020, remarked that 'The Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption Department of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office illegally tracked him and the Roh Moo-hyung Foundation account at the end of November or early December of 2019' However, it was reported to a civic group and handed over to trial in May of last year.



Minister Han was in charge of the Anti-Corruption and Violence Department of the Supreme Prosecutor's Office at the time mentioned by former Chairman Yoo.



The court explained the reason for sentencing, saying, "Due to the defendant's remarks, the victim (Minister Han) must have suffered considerable mental pain as he was recognized as a prosecutor who abused his investigative power for an unjust purpose."
