Seungri (real name Lee Seung-hyeon, 32), a former member of the group Big Bang, who was imprisoned in the Armed Forces Prison, will be transferred to a private prison along with his discharge today (9th).

Yeoju Prison, where victory is transferred, is a private prison located close to the Armed Forces Prison in Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Seungri's discharge from military service is in accordance with the Enforcement Decree of the Military Service Act, and if he is sentenced to imprisonment for more than one year and six months as a soldier or imprisonment without prison labor, he will be transferred to the wartime labor force.

Earlier, on the 26th of last month, the first division of the Supreme Court (Chief Justice Roh Tae-ak) held the appeal of Mr. Lee, who was indicted on 9 charges, including habitual gambling, violation of the Prostitution Punishment Act (prostitution, prostitution brokerage, camera use, etc.), and embezzlement under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. dismissed all appeals and affirmed the lower court sentenced to one year and six months in prison.

Seungri enlisted in the military about a month after being prosecuted in January 2020, and all subsequent trials were received at the military court.

Initially, Seungri was scheduled to be discharged on September 16, last year, but after being arrested in the first trial in August last year, his discharge was put on hold as his soldier status was placed in a pending prison cell in the Armed Forces.

Seungri's prison term is until February next year.
