Lim Young-wook, a professor at the Environmental Pollution Research Institute at Yonsei University College of Medicine, presented the results of a risk assessment and exposure to pollutants generated during cooking, and Lee So-jin, associate research fellow at the Seoul Research Institute, said, “Cooking fumes should be included in national fine dust statistics, and Efficiency is improved only when air purifiers and ventilation facilities suitable for many kitchen and dining room environments are installed in parallel.”



Professor Shin Dong-cheon of Yonsei University's College of Medicine said, "Cooking fine dust is very small, so it travels through blood vessels and research on the part that enters the brain is active."



Ha Ji-won, CEO of Eco Mom Korea, who co-hosted the discussion, said, "The death of workers due to cooking smoke will also be applied to the Serious Disaster Act from January 2023. This is more dangerous,” he stressed.
