The driver, who had fled after the accident, was caught five hours later, and as a result of investigation, he was intoxicated to the level of a revoked license.

Yesterday (6th) around 8:30 pm on a road in Eomjeong-myeon, Chungju, a 1-ton truck collided with a cultivator and ran away.
In the accident, a 65-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman who were riding in the tiller were taken to the hospital, but eventually died.
The deceased couple was on their way home from work in the fields.

driver informed his family of the drunk accident and fled, but was caught by the police who tracked the location in a nearby hillside within 5 hours.
The blood alcohol level of the truck driver, a resident of the same village, was 0.095%, which was the level of license revocation at the time of the arrest.

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for the truck driver as soon as the investigation is complete.
