Today (the 5th) around 4:30 pm, a van passing near the Yeoju Interchange on the Yeongdong Expressway in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do collided with a guard rail.



In the accident, two people, including the driver, in their 70s, died, and six people in the car were injured and taken to the hospital.



It is known that they were all traveling as friends from their hometown.

Over 10 km of vehicle congestion occurred in the course of fixing the accident.



The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident based on nearby CCTVs and vehicle black boxes.

At around 11 pm last night, a car entering the Seobusan tollgate from the Gimhae direction of the Namhae Expressway collided with a shock absorber and caught on fire.
