As it became known to RT, the corresponding project was announced in the track of the National Technology Initiative for the Strong Ideas for the New Time forum, which will be held in Moscow in the summer.

According to the project leader, Deputy Head of the Innovation Development Department of the Investment and Innovation Department of the Lipetsk Region Maxim Lanskikh, after the departure of large automakers from the Russian market, there may be a shortage of original spare parts.

He also stressed that 3D printing of auto parts will be able to partially cover the demand for foreign components, but for this it is necessary to increase the introduction of additive technologies in the domestic auto industry.

The authors of the project noted that now Russian manufacturers of both 3D printing equipment and consumables use mainly foreign raw materials and components.

“As for consumable polymer materials, their stable and unchanging properties are very important for 3D printing.

Domestic producers of raw materials have not yet established a stable production of such materials.

Various polymer compositions or additives are currently being developed in laboratories,” Lanskikh said.

Earlier it was reported that Russian scientists have developed five new heat-resistant alloys for the PD-8 engine.
