Along with the famous “Sunflowers”, “The Starry Night” is one of Vincent Van Gogh's most famous paintings.

This remarkable canvas dates from 1889. It represents the starry sky above Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), seen from the room occupied by the artist in the village asylum.

The work can be seen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (United States).
