The Seoul Metropolitan Government issued an ozone advisory for 21 autonomous districts in four districts, including the downtown area, northeast area, northwest area, and southwest area, excluding the southeast area such as Seocho, Gangnam, Songpa and Gangdong at 2 pm today. has been issued.



As of 3 pm today, the highest ozone concentration by region recorded 0.134ppm in Gangseo-gu, 0.160ppm in Seodaemun-gu, 0.146ppm in Yongsan-gu, 0.151ppm in Dongdaemun-gu and 0.137ppm in Gangnam-gu.



The Seoul Metropolitan Government issues a warning when the average ozone concentration for an hour in the autonomous districts in the area is 0.12ppm or higher.



If it is 0.3ppm or more, an alarm is issued, and if it is 0.5ppm or more, a major alarm is issued.



Ozone is a secondary pollutant produced by photochemical reaction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the atmosphere with solar energy.



The city of Seoul recommended that "children, the elderly, and people with respiratory and cardiovascular diseases refrain from outdoor activities."
