The procrastination of the creator of Tesla continues.

Elon Musk said on Tuesday that the takeover of Twitter would not come to an end until he had the guarantee that less than 5% of the accounts on the platform are fake.

“The executive director of Twitter yesterday refused to prove that less than 5% of the accounts were fake,” tweeted Elon Musk, who has nearly 94 million subscribers on the social network.

"Until he does, the transaction cannot go forward," he added.

The social network on a roller coaster

Last Friday, the billionaire had already announced that he was suspending the takeover of Twitter pending details on the proportion of fake accounts on the social network.

The action of the group, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, plunged about 15% after this announcement in electronic trading before the opening of Wall Street.

The board of directors of the social network with tweets accepted at the end of April a takeover offer of 44 billion dollars formulated by the whimsical leader of South African origin.

Elon Musk promised to rid Twitter of spam, authenticate users and increase transparency without specifying how he intended to implement this project.
