Digged soil is piled up around the road, and the water marks are clear.

District heating workers and an excavator are working around a pipe buried under the road.

Today (17th) around 9:30 am, reports were received one after another in Baekseok-dong, Goyang-si, that the road was submerged in hot water and steam was rising from the ground.

The heat transport pipe that flows 95℃ water to supply heat for heating has burst.

It looks like the problematic pipe is being replaced.

A similar accident occurred near Baekseok Station three years ago, and the accident site is only 1km away from the previous accident site.

At the time of the accident in December 2018, a man in his 60s passing by the scene in a car died, and dozens of people were burned as the hot water hit.

The heat transport pipe that burst today was also buried in 1995, at the same time as the pipeline that became a problem in 2018.

Fortunately, there were no casualties this time, but local residents had to wash their hearts out.

Since it is a place where many children go, I wondered if it would be okay for the children.]

The Korea District Heating Corporation closed three valves connected to the blown heat pipe within 40 minutes of receiving the report.

The construction company said it will investigate the exact leak point and cause of the accident.
