Prosecutors have sought prison sentences for teenagers who imprisoned and assaulted their peers.



Prosecutors demanded a long-term 10-year to short-term five-year prison sentence for high school student A (16), who was arrested and charged with robbery, injury and special heavy confinement at the decision hearing held by the 13th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Court (Chief Judge Ho Seong-ho). .

In addition, a 14-year-old middle school student B (14), who was charged with the same charge, was also sentenced to 10 to 5 years in prison.



According to the juvenile law, a minor under the age of 19 who commits a crime can be sentenced to indefinite sentences with upper and lower limits, divided into long-term and short-term.



Under the Juvenile Act, the statutory maximum sentence for fixed-term imprisonment is long-term 10 years to short-term 5 years.



Group A and Miss B are accused of incarcerating and assaulting high school student C (18) for about 8 hours at a motel in Michuhol-gu, Incheon on the 13th of February at around 4 am.



In the process, they beat C's body with a cigarette, beat him with an empty soju bottle, etc., and even took a nude picture in the process.



As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that they committed the crime while arguing with Group C. Group C, who was assaulted by them, suffered a fracture in his face, etc., and was treated at the hospital.



In a final statement, group A said, "I sincerely apologize to group C for doing something that is unforgivable," and "I will live my life reflecting with a guilty mind."



Group A's attorney said, "(A) did not have a particularly grudge relationship with Army C, nor did he intentionally commit the crime."
