The court sentenced a 40-year-old father who assaulted his two daughters on the ground that he secretly met his divorced wife.

According to the legal community today (10th), the Incheon District Court Detective 2 (Judge Kwak Kyung-pyeong) sentenced A (49), who was charged with child abuse under the Child Welfare Act, to 4 months in prison and 2 years of probation and re-offended for 40 hours of child abuse. Ordered to attend preventive classes.

Mr. A was charged with assaulting his divorced ex-wife in an apartment in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon in September 2018 and hitting his second daughter B (12) in the cheek.

After a divorce from his wife in 2014, Mr. A, who has raised two daughters alone since the end of the following year, was investigated as being angry when his daughters met their mothers secretly and came to commit a crime.

However, this was not the first time Mr. A had been assaulted.

He threatened her eldest daughter, 13-year-old C (13) in April last year, saying, "If you don't give her cell phone, I will rip her clothes."

He also beaten the legs and heads of his two daughters with an aluminum swab.

In response, the court pointed out, "Mr. A denies some crimes even in court and does not admit his faults."

However, he said, "After divorce, Mr. A struggled to raise his two daughters alone, and when the two daughters met secretly with their mother, he was angry and committed the crime by accident." We considered it,” he said, explaining the reason for his sentencing.
