The pre-arrest interrogation of three people in charge of the Yangju Sampyo Quarry Collapse accident, which killed three people in January, was held today (3rd) at the Uijeongbu District Court.
The on-site manager A, the safety manager B, and the blasting team leader C, who were subject to the examination, were present, and charges such as negligent manslaughter were applied.
Person A is also charged with violating the Occupational Safety and Health Act (death in violation of the duty to take safety measures).
After the examination for about an hour and a half, they did not respond to reporters' questions such as "Do you admit the charges?"
Whether or not to detain them is expected to be decided later this afternoon.
Earlier, at the end of January, during a drilling operation for stone extraction at the Sampyo Industrial Quarry in Yangju, the soil collapsed, killing three workers.
