SBS conducted an interview via video connection with Drago Kos, chairman of the OECD Anti-Bribery Working Group on April 21st.

The interview was conducted one day before the announcement of the arbitration plan of the Speaker of the National Assembly for the so-called 'examination and overhaul' bill.

The content of the bill mentioned at the time of the interview is different from the content discussed at the National Assembly later.

However, regarding core concepts such as the principle of 'separation of investigation and prosecution', there does not seem to be a significant difference between the existing legislation and the later proposed legislation, such as the arbitration proposal.

In addition, even after the announcement of the arbitration proposal, Chairman Drago Kos delivered a letter to the South Korean government expressing his concerns about the legislative move.

Accordingly, we have decided to disclose the interview with the intention of introducing the views of international experts on the policy of 'abolition of the prosecution's investigation authority'.
