A report was received that a dog inhaled an unknown white powder and collapsed at a park.
According to the Incheon Bupyeong Police Station, on the evening of the 25th, a report was received by 112 that a dog suddenly collapsed while taking a walk with its owner at Bupyeong Park in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
The dog owner said to an online community, 'The dog inhaled the white powder that was sprinkled on the grass, foamed up and drooped after vomiting.'
The police commissioned the National Institute of Scientific Investigation to analyze the ingredients of the powder.
A police official said, 'We are analyzing CCTV around the park' and 'we will investigate whether there is a violation of the Animal Protection Act.'
Earlier, in January, a sausage with a fishing hook was found in this park.
At the time, suspicions of animal abuse arose, saying, 'Isn't it maliciously installed because you know that it is a place where a lot of dogs come?'
An investigation into the fishhook sausage is also ongoing.
