A man in his 30s has been arrested after assaulting and detaining a woman for ignoring text messages.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced today that a man in his 30s, who slapped a woman on the cheek and imprisoned him at home, was charged with assault for ignoring his text message.
At around 8:30 p.m. on the 22nd, Mr. A, a woman in her 30s, who returned from a short walk in a one-roomtel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, began swearing at her and yelling at her for ignoring her own text messages.
Mr. B tried to get out of her house to avoid this, but Mr. A slapped her Mr. B in the face and locked him in her house for about 30 minutes.
At that time, a viewer who witnessed the assault of Mr. A during an Internet live broadcast reported it to the police, and Mr. A was arrested.
The police plan to investigate Mr. A's exact motive and the circumstances of the case.
