It was in a valley in Gapyeong last September that Sgt.

He ran into the water following the senior noncommissioned officers and got feces.

[Witness at the time]

"The seniors came often. They said that the (dead) child was a newbie. By the time I ran with the (tube), it was already (already late)."

[Reporter Ahn Hee-jae]

"This is the valley where the accident occurred. It is a pole that is over 3m high. If you put it directly in the water like this, the water is so deep that you can't reach the bottom of the valley."

The bereaved family has been skeptical of the blue sky.

It was because he was Sgt. Joe, who couldn't swim at all and didn't even go near the water's edge.

"No breathing, no pulse, drowning, out of the blue. I've never been to an indoor swimming pool."

[The late Sgt. Cho Jae-yoon's friend]

"Why did he drown, he never jumped off voluntarily..."

According to the military investigation, on the day when a day off was given due to the prolonged Corona 19, Sergeant A, the gunner of Sgt. Joe, pointed out the youngest Sgt.

Another noncommissioned officer stopped them saying they were afraid of water, and Sgt. Cho refused, saying "I need to clean the room", but in the end, Sergeant A went to the valley together.

Senior Sergeant B jumped in first, and when Sgt. Joe hesitated, they said they would rescue them if they fall out.

Immediately after the dive, Sergeant A and Sergeant B jumped one by one towards Sgt.

The survivors claim that they actually lost their lives due to coercion by superiors.

"(Sgt. Cho) stood there for a few minutes, looking at the statement. It's not like the atmosphere went out of the water and kept looking at the child."

The day Sergeant Joe died was his 20th birthday.

"I suddenly remembered it even while sleeping and I just pounded on the floor. I miss you so much..."

The bereaved family temporarily placed Sgt. Cho's body in the Armed Forces Capital Hospital, saying that neither a funeral nor a death examination could be held until the truth was revealed.
