Prosecutor General Kim Oh-su expressed his gratitude again after five days when the Democratic Party and the people expressed their will to accept the arbitration proposal proposed by National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok in relation to the 'completely deprived of the prosecution's investigative power' on the 22nd. I did.

"The Prosecutor General will take responsibility for all these circumstances and submit a resignation letter," Kim said through the spokesman's office of the Supreme Prosecutor's Office today.

The arbitration plan accepted by both parties included the separation of the prosecution's direct investigation and prosecution powers, and the deletion of civil servant crimes, election crimes, defense business crimes, and major catastrophes from among the 'six major crimes' that are currently under the prosecution's investigation scope.

The authority to directly investigate other corruption and economic crimes will also be abolished when the Serious Crime Investigation Agency is established.

In the reduction of special departments, restrictions on the number of special prosecutors and special investigations such as cases sent to the police were also included in the arbitration plan.

Previously, President Kim expressed his resignation on the 17th in protest against the Democratic Party's proposal for a 'check-and-run' bill. He persuaded the National Assembly.

However, it seems that the arbitration plan accepted by the opposition and opposition parties today is a bill that effectively deprives the prosecution's investigative power and is a bill to prevent ongoing or future political investigations, and ultimately resigned again.

The Democratic Party plans to handle the mediation bill at the National Assembly plenary next week.

Accordingly, the possibility that the new bill will be passed at the Cabinet meeting on May 3 has increased.
