Three teenagers have been arrested after stealing an unlocked vehicle while roaming the apartment parking lot.

As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that the total number of these similar criminals totaled 66.



The Daejeon Western Police Station announced today (20th) that they are investigating three teenagers, including A (17), on charges of special theft.



A group of Army A is suspected of stealing an unlocked vehicle from the underground parking lot of an apartment building in Seo-gu, Daejeon at around 4:13 a.m. the day before.



The unlicensed people saw the key lying inside the vehicle, started the engine and ran away, and it was investigated that they wandered around for about 14 hours.



After receiving a report from the owner that the vehicle had previously disappeared, the police immediately started tracking them based on the vehicle number and CCTV of the apartment.



The police arrested a group of Army A who was wandering around after parking the vehicle at a rest area along the national road in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, about 60 km away from the scene of the theft.



This isn't the first time they've committed a crime.



As a result of the police investigation, all three people, including group A, had prior convictions, and the combined similar criminal convictions such as theft reached 66 cases.



It has been confirmed that they are friends and currently do not attend school.



While the police plan to apply for an arrest warrant against them, they plan to expand the investigation as they believe there may be other crimes.
