Date: ☆Month Sun ○○ City

Venue: △△ Mountain

A report has been received by the police that people often come and go in a mysterious tent in the deep mountains where there are few people.

The tent in question is none other than a gambling hall.

Gambling boards were taking place in which tens of millions of won per game were exchanged.

The Jeonnam Police Agency's Violent Crime Investigation Team announced today (18th) that they arrested A (59) on charges of group gambling (opening a gambling hall, etc.) and booked B (52) and 42 participants without detention.

Mr. A's party is accused of gambling at a stake of tens of millions of won by pitching a tent in the mountains of Muan, Yeongam, Naju, Jangheung, and Gangjin in Jeollanam-do from February last year to January this year.

As a result of the police investigation, it was found that Mr. A installed a tent gambling site in the deep mountains where there are few people, and notified the date and place of gambling by phone or text message to the members who usually managed it, and confirmed whether to participate.

After the participants replied to them whether or not they would participate, they took part in the gambling with stakes of millions of won.

They waged a so-called 'Dori-Jit-Go-Tang', and it was found that Mr. A and others took 10% of the stake each time as an expense, earning more than tens of millions of won illegally.

It was also confirmed that security personnel were placed at the entrance of the hiking trail to avoid police crackdowns.

A police official said, "We plan to investigate the crimes of gambling participants and take strict measures against the gambling gang."
