A man in his 30s was caught setting fires one after another in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul overnight.

One person was killed and another was injured, and the man who set the fire stated that it was because of his dissatisfaction with the world.

Yesterday (14th), around 10:20 pm, along a road in Singil-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.



A man crosses the street on a bicycle and enters the store.



About 30 minutes later, a report was received that a fire broke out on the first floor of the building the man entered, and a fire truck arrived soon after.



At around 3:30 this morning, a fire broke out in a four-story shopping mall 1.7 km away from the first fire site.



This is the Yeongdeungpo shopping district where the second fire occurred.



The inside of the store was all on fire, and the outside walls of the building were also charred.

A man in his 60s on the third floor collapsed and was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest due to this fire, but he died.



A woman in her 70s, who was in a house on the 4th floor, also inhaled the smoke, but fortunately there was no life-threatening injury.



The police, who checked the CCTV on the spot, urgently arrested a man in his 30s, who was wandering near the shopping street where the second fire broke out.



Person A, who was intoxicated at the time of the crime, is known to have stated in a police investigation that "I entered the building to steal money."



When asked about the reason for the arson, it is said that he answered, "I set fires one after another because of my dissatisfaction with the world."



The police, who conducted a joint investigation with the fire department, plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr.
