Early today (14th), a residential area in Yongsan, Seoul.

Next to the crushed vehicle, a police officer informs the foreigner of the Miranda principle and takes him away.

This is a scene where a 20-year-old American soldier, A, was arrested after driving under the influence of alcohol.

This is the alley where the accident happened.

It's narrow enough for an adult male to reach with his arm outstretched and pass through.

The car that broke through this alley barely stopped after hitting the wall and pillar you see here.

This neighborhood, this line, a lot of elderly people buy it.

That's so dizzying.]

The car that Mr. A drove was found to have collided with 9 parked cars, 1 motorcycle, and the front door of 5 houses, a wall, and a pillar.

Person A, who drank alcohol in Mapo-gu and drove to Yongsan, the site of the accident, had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14%, which was a 'license revocation level'.

The police plan to call back Mr. A, who was handed over to the US military in accordance with SOFA regulations, for investigation soon.

The USFK side informed SBS reporters that they were cooperating with the Korean police and that they could not make an official statement as the investigation was ongoing.

Earlier, on the 24th of last month, a USFK lieutenant in his 30s was arrested in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, on charges of running away from a drunk traffic accident.
