The forest fire that occurred in Yanggu, Gangwon-do, spread with the wind, and the forestry authorities have issued a three-step response to the forest fire.
Today (10th) around 3:40 pm, the forest fire that occurred in Songcheong-ri, Yanggu-eup, Yanggu-gun, has not been extinguished for nearly 6 hours.
Previously, the forest authorities deployed 15 firefighting helicopters and 295 firefighters, but it was difficult to extinguish due to strong winds.
Currently, we are building fire lines to prevent wildfires from spreading to private homes by putting in personnel specialized in fighting nighttime wildfires.
There have been no casualties yet, and about 50 nearby residents have been evacuated.
