Today (10th) around 1:10 pm, a forest fire broke out at 526m above sea level at Oknyeobong Peak, Hwabok-ri, Samguk Yusa-myeon, Gunwi-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The forestry authorities put 16 firefighting helicopters and 54 firefighters to put out the fire, but they could not catch the fire, so at 2:40 pm, the 'second stage of the forest fire' was issued.

Stage 2 is issued when the average wind speed is 4 to 7 meters per second, the expected damage area is less than 100 ha, and the extinguishing time is less than 24 hours.
