The daytime temperature in Seoul rose to 23 degrees Celsius, and today (9th), the cherry blossom road in Yunjung-ro, Yeouido, was fully opened to welcome visitors.

Today, Saturday, around 12:00 noon, the area around Yunjung-ro Cherry Blossom Road, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul was crowded with people trying to feel the spring energy while admiring the pale pink flowers.

As the sky cleared up in Seoul, where raindrops once fell in the morning, citizens went out on an outing with their family, lovers, and friends with a light heart.

In the spring of 2020, right after the Corona 19 incident, Yoon Jung-ro was completely controlled to prevent the spread of infection, and last year, it was operated through a lottery reservation system.

This year, all visit restrictions have been lifted, and the cherry blossom-gil pedestrian path has been fully opened from 8 am today.

In consideration of the spread of the corona virus, which is still spreading over 100,000 people a day in the exciting atmosphere, Yeongdeungpo-gu Office and Yeongdeungpo Police Station have partially controlled the cherry blossom road site to maintain order and quarantine.

A fence was installed in the middle of the pedestrian path to allow the first-time visitors to only pass in one direction, and safety control personnel sprayed hand sanitizer one by one to those entering the cherry blossom road.

Concierge officers immediately stopped anyone taking off their masks to take pictures or drink.

However, it was also witnessed that it was crowded with more than a dozen people entering at the same time and that it was not well controlled.

One agent said, "One-way street is the principle, but there are too many visitors, so it is difficult to control."

The Yeouido Cherry Blossom Road is under traffic control from noon yesterday to noon on the 18th.

The 1.7km section of Yeouiseo-ro (behind the National Assembly) between the southern end of Sogang Bridge and the intersection of the National Assembly Hall is completely controlled by electric scooters and bicycles as well as general vehicles.

The Cherry Blossom Walkway is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

Access to and from the Cherry Blossom Road is only possible at the intersection of the southern end of the Seogang Bridge and the National Assembly Hall intersection, and all passages from Hangang Park to Yeouiseo towards the Cherry Blossom Road are controlled.
