The police launched an investigation after it was revealed that a police officer tried to solicit personnel through a broker.

As a result of our investigation, it was confirmed that there was one more police officer who solicited a promotion.

It was confirmed that the broker who received their solicitation was impersonating the Blue House policy chief.

Reporter Park Ye-rin reported exclusively.

<Reporter> At the end of

last year, ahead of the appointment of a superintendent, the chief of a front-line police station, Chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Choi Gwan-ho received a suspicious phone call.

After the caller introduced himself as Lee Ho-seung, the chief of policy at the Blue House, he told them to promote police officers A and B, the chiefs of a police station in Seoul.

The investigation was carried out immediately under the direction of Director Choi, who thought it was strange.

As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that it was not the person who called Choi, and that the phone used was also a cannon phone in the name of a Uzbek person.

As the investigation network narrowed, the person who surrendered was Mr. C, a visiting professor at a certain university, where former President Park Geun-hye served as a special adviser for foreign cooperation during her presidential campaign.

It has been confirmed that there are two police officers who believe that the investigation team made a request for personnel through Mr. C.

Among them, police officer A, who was booked as a suspect, denies the allegation, but the police caught the situation that police officer A directly searched for the number of the head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency through the internal network and handed it to Mr. C.

We believe that Mr. C's explanation that he received Choi's number through an aide he knew is not true.

Police are also planning to conduct a summons investigation for Police Officer B, who has been the subject of investigation following Police A, in the near future.
