A man in his 70s has been arrested by the police for urinating at a woman in front of a subway escalator.

The Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul announced today (6th) that it is investigating a man A in his 70s on suspicion of property damage.

Person A is suspected of urinating on the skirt and shoes of woman B in front of her while riding the escalator at Sinjeong Station on Seoul Subway Line 5 at around 7 pm yesterday (the 5th).

Mr. B, who realized this later, was startled and shouted, and Mr. A climbed the escalator and ran away.

However, another woman standing in front grasped the situation, followed him to the ticket gate and caught Mr. A.

After that, the police, who arrived, voluntarily accompanied Mr. A to a nearby district to investigate.

At the time, it was reported that Mr. A, who was caught in a drunken state, tried to escape while shouting, "I need to pee, so where do I pack it?" and "Are you going to talk to your grandfather like that?"

The police first applied only the charge of property damage to Mr. A, but we plan to legally consider whether it will be a crime of obscenity in performances later.

A police official said, "After requesting Mr. A to appear, we will investigate the details of the incident."

This is a 'news pick'.
