Today (31st) around 7:50 am, a bus carrying a drama production team collided with a dump truck on Jayu-ro in the direction of Munsan, Songchon-dong, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do.
A man in his 30s who was on the bus died in the accident, and 3 people were seriously injured and 7 people were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
The bus was carrying the production staff of the tvN drama 'Chosun Psychiatrist Yoo Se-poong', which is scheduled to be broadcast in the second half of this year, and it was reported that the deceased was a PD of the drama production department.
The dump truck driver was not seriously injured.
As a result of this accident, the surrounding three to four lane roads were controlled, resulting in severe vehicle congestion for about three and a half hours.
Authorities have also been working to remove oil spills from dump trucks.
Road control was lifted around 11:30 am today.
The accident occurred when a dump truck from a gas station entered lane 3 of a 4-lane road and collided with a commuter bus that was going straight in the 3-lane road.
Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, including whether the bus was speeding.
