Taking responsibility for the accident, the Seoul Metropolitan Government issued an '8-month suspension of business' to Hyundai Development Company.

The collapse of the demolished building in Gwangju Hak-dong, which hit a city bus when the entire five-story building under demolition construction collapsed in June of last year.

At the time, nine passengers were buried in the rubble and died, and eight others, including the bus driver, were injured.

Nine months after the collapse, the city of Seoul ordered the original office building, HDC Hyundai Development Company, to suspend business for eight months.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government imposed the heaviest severe disciplinary action stipulated in the relevant laws, citing that construction was constructed differently from the decommissioning plan and provided the cause of the collapse, and that the site management and supervision duty was violated.

[Han Je-hyeon/Seoul City Safety Headquarters: There were nine fatal accidents (death), so it was promptly disposed of in consideration of the seriousness of the matter.]

According to this disposition, Hyundai Development Company will participate in bidding for the next eight months, etc. New business activities are prohibited.

However, contracts signed before receiving administrative disposition and construction that has already started can be continued.

Hyundai Development Company announced that it will respond to the administrative disposition of Seoul by filing an application for an injunction and cancellation of the execution.

If the order activity is banned for 8 months from April 18th, it will inevitably damage the business, so it will buy time through litigation.

Administrative measures for the collapse of Gwangju Hwajeong I-Park in January this year are also expected to be issued within six months at the latest.

As six workers died due to complex negligence such as poor construction, the city of Seoul announced that it would consider strong measures including cancellation of registration with Hyundai Industrial Development.
