Amid the surge in international oil prices after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Korea's oil prices are about 26% higher than the world average.



According to 'Global Petrol Price', an oil price information website, the average price of gasoline worldwide was $1.33 per liter as of the 21st.



In the case of Korea, it was $1.68, which is 25.9% higher than that, or 1,994.39 won in Korean money.



On December 13, last year, it rose from 1,702.63 won to nearly 300 won in three months.



Korea ranked 42nd out of 170 countries in the world, and Hong Kong was the most expensive place for oil.



Korea is the second most expensive country in Asia after Hong Kong and Singapore. Gasoline milk is generally more expensive in developed countries and cheaper in oil producing countries and developing countries.



Venezuela, Libya and Iran, the major oil producing countries, cost less than $0.10 per liter.
