A man in his thirties who fled from the electronic tracking device (electronic anklet) in the middle of Gangnam, Seoul turned himself in to the police. 



According to the Ministry of Justice today (10th), it was confirmed that Mr. A went to Seocho Police Station in Seoul around 3:30 pm that day and surrendered himself.

It is known that Mr. A will be moved to Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, under his jurisdiction, and will be investigated. 



Person A is accused of damaging an electronic anklet and fleeing near Nonhyeon Station in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, around 9:40 pm on the 8th. 



The police, who received a request for cooperation from the Ministry of Justice, have been tracking Mr. A based on the CCTV analysis around him.



It was found that A had about a month left until the electronic anklet attachment was removed. 



An official from the Ministry of Justice said, "The police will take over the recruits, investigate them, and send them to the prosecution." 



According to the Electronic Device Attachment Act (Electronic Device Attachment Act), arbitrarily damaging an electronic device during the installation period is punishable by imprisonment for not more than 7 years or a fine of not more than 20 million won.
