• The Steevey site was created by Loan Nalepka, 23, who had the idea for a university project.

  • He wanted to allow the very united student community to access activities via a site in order to be able to gather.

There are also good deals and a system for reselling products or services exclusively between students.

  • Registration is free but it is necessary to prove your status with a student card or school certificate.

Young graduates under the age of three will soon also be welcome.

It's a mix of Leboncoin, Fruitz – the application for “meeting people who have the same desires as you” – and the Facebook groups that exist in all cities in France.

Steevey is a 100% free and privatized platform for students.

They can thus share “activities, services and second-hand goods, and tips”.

Launched a month ago, but officially "with the first evening on the beach last week" in Nice, Steevey "comes to concretize the solidarity network that has always existed in the student community", according to its creator Loan Nalepka.

If the site is reserved for students, "it's because we understand each other better, we have a common current experience," he explains.

To have access to all the features, you must register and present your student card or school certificate.

An idea shaped for the needs of students

Once registered, Steevey allows you to “offer sporting and cultural outings, or simply a moment to meet.

We can also sell second-hand items but also services such as courses or help with a move.

Then there are the good plans with the financial aid that we can benefit from, ”says its founder.

Loan Nalepka, 23, in training in the Paca Est nugget center, began to develop this idea for a course when he was in professional license.

“Despite the groups on social networks, this kind of site did not exist.

After the license, I wanted to go to the end of my project to concretize it.

So I went for this course.

He adds: “The platform is meant to evolve.

I really do according to the needs of the students and the feedback I receive.

Still in studies or not, the creator of Steevey listens to “all the advice so that the site best meets the expectations and desires of users”.

After the first meeting on the beach and the opinions of the participants, Loan Nalepka will soon make the site available to young graduates under the age of three.

“They also find it difficult to meet people and they can share their experiences of the world of work.

Partnerships, export to other cities and an application?

During this meeting, about fifteen participants were present.

And in one month, a hundred people registered on the site.

The site creator is satisfied.

“I could see that I was really meeting a need, that it was useful and relevant.

I am happy to be able to bring this community together and fight against student precariousness by promoting links between them.

»

He concludes: “The objective now is to organize other events, forge partnerships with Crous, Face06 and the University of the Côte d'Azur, for example.

For the rest, why not imagine exporting the concept to an application.

But first I want to extend the concept to other cities and grow the community by making a student connection all over France.
