An illegally resident Chinese man confirmed with Corona 19 in Jeju was caught by the police after he fled while being transported to an isolation facility. 



Today (3rd), the police and Jeju Immigration Office announced that they arrested a 40-year-old Chinese woman A, an illegally resident Chinese woman, who fled while being transported to an isolation facility at a hotel in Jeju City this morning.   



Mr. A was previously caught by the police on charges of illegal stay on the 28th of last month and handed over to the Jeju Immigration Office on the 1st, and she was confirmed as a result of the Corona 19 test. 



Afterwards, at around 3:30 pm on the 2nd, she took an ambulance from the public health center and was moving to the Seogwipo Life Treatment Center, and asked to get off the car on a road near Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, saying “I feel like I was going to vomit”, and then ran away as soon as the car stopped. 




As soon as the Jeju Immigration and Immigration Service was informed of the fact of the escape, it organized a special arrest team and, together with the police, analyzed CCTV images and conducted an investigation to catch A.  



A Jeju Immigration Office official said, "At present, Mr. A is receiving treatment at an isolation facility inside the Immigration Office."
