• News The eight Spanish series that will be talked about in the coming months

  • Disney+ Pam & Tommy: the great comedy about Pamela Anderson and her porn video

In March ,

series

will be released

that promise to be talked about on platforms such as

Movistar Plus +, Amazon Prime Video, HBO MAX, Disney + or Netflix.

VICTORY TIME: LAKERS DYNASTY (HBO MAX, March 7)

Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Pat Riley

made NBA history.

In the 1980s,

the Los Angeles Lakers

went from being a good team to becoming something more, with historic games and moments to remember.

And that is what this

series takes care of, mixing humor and drama

in ten chapters, the first of which is directed by Adam McKay (

Don't look up

).

THIS IS GOING TO HURT (Movistar Plus+, March 14)

Before being a screenwriter, Adam Kay practiced as a doctor.

A

stressful job, in which he saw almost everything

and that he left to dedicate himself to other tasks.

Those anecdotes, truffled with

black humor

, became a bestseller that he swept bookstores.

And, now, Kay hopes to repeat the play in a series starring Ben Whishaw (

No Time to Die

), a

doctor in the OB/GYN wing

of a hospital.

THE UNIT (Movistar Plus+, March 18)

Much

more action

promises the second season of one of the best recent Spanish productions.

Its protagonists are the members of an

elite unit of the National Police

that fights jihadist terrorism.

With

Nathalie Poza, Marián Álvarez and Luis Zahera

, among others.

SUPER PUMPED: THE BATTLE FOR UBER (Movistar Plus+, March 3)

The guts of

big business struggles

at mega-corporations are perfect material for fast-paced thrillers.

And that's just what this series offers, starring

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

, who is accompanied by

Kyle Chandler and Uma Thurman

.

And what is it about?

Nothing less than the portrait of the meteoric rise and brutal fall of Travis Kalanick, the

ambitious CEO of Uber.

THE TOURIST (HBO MAX, March 3)

Jamie Dornan

(

Belfast

) stars in a thriller in which an (innocent or guilty?) man with no memory is hunted by killers in the

Australian outback

.

Six episodes full of

action and intrigue

that start when the protagonist of the story is chased by a truck that takes him off the road and, later, leads him to wake up in a hospital without remembering anything about his own past.

UPLOAD (Amazon Prime Video, March 11)

Under the guise of a fantastic story, this series, which is now in its second season, hides a

romantic comedy whose approach is surprising

.

In the not so distant future, when

people die, they are 'resurrected' in a virtual environment.

And it is there that Nathan will meet Nora, the girl who in real life takes care that everything goes well for the deceased young man.

ONCE UPON A TIME... BUT NOT ANYMORE (Netflix, March 11)

The Colombian

Sebastián Yatra, Mónica Maranillo, Asier Etxeandia, Rossy de Palma or Nia Correia

are some of the stars that appear in this original romantic story that breaks with all the clichés.

Comedy, sex and a lot of music

are some of its attractions.

MOON KNIGHT (Disney+, March 30)

Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke

lead this new Marvel series that aims to hit the ball.

Steven Grant (Isaac) is a store clerk who begins to have flashbacks from another life.

That

new personality has to do with Marc Spector, a former CIA agent

who is besieged by enemies and who has a surprising connection to the gods of ancient Egypt.

THE BRIDGERTONS (Netflix, March 25)

Shonda Rhimes'

(

Grey's Anatomy ,

Scandal

) latest hit

as a creator is now in its second season.

A new batch of episodes focused on

the Bridgertons, aristocrats from England in the mid-nineteenth century

.

And, specifically, now it will be the turn to look at Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest brother of the family, following the outline of the Julia Quinn novels that this luxurious production adapts.
