On the occasion of an event devoted to artificial intelligence, this Wednesday, Mark Zuckerberg, the boss of Facebook, renamed Meta, announced the development of a voice assistant.
Supposed to be more advanced than its competitors Alexa or Siri, this tool will be used with Meta's augmented reality accessories, such as the Quest helmet, the Portal connected screen or the Ray-Ban smart glasses, reports Vox, relayed by Slate.
This voice assistant should be able to answer a large number of questions, including the most complex, but also understand when they are not well formulated.
At the same time, this system developed by Meta could be able to grasp the context of a conversation to be able to better answer questions.
Personal Data Concerns
This would be possible thanks to its ability to capture facial expressions, postures or even the way some people can speak with their hands.
To do this, the voice assistant will be equipped with an artificial intelligence equipped with a neural structure allowing it to gain, little by little, experience and skills.
In addition to its capacities which promise to be bluffing, this voice assistant worries.
Some fear that it is a formidable tool for recording users' personal data.
For his part, Mark Zuckerberg assured that Meta was collaborating with experts in human rights, civil law and respect for privacy in order to develop “systems based on respect, justice and human dignity”.
