The number of new confirmed cases was 166,209, and the positive rate, which means the ratio of confirmed cases to the number of tests, was 29.5%.

After climbing to the 170,000 level three days ago, it is showing a similar level, an increase of about 64,000 from a week ago.

The death toll stood at 112, a record high.

Those in their 7s and 80s accounted for the most with 97, followed by 8 in their 60s, 4 in their 50s, and 2 and 1 in their 40s and 20s, respectively.

On a weekly average, it nearly doubled this week from 42 last week.

With more than 700,000 home-treated patients, there have been cases of deaths of patients who were being treated at home alone.

Yesterday (25th) night in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, a man in his 50s was found dead at his house.

A health center employee who found the house after contacting them all day and was unable to connect called 911.

There were 655 cases of severe severe cases, and the number was in the range of 600 for two days in a row.

This is a significant increase from 400 a week ago.

Concerns are growing because if the number of confirmed cases increases significantly, it will lead to an increase in the number of patients with severe cases and an increase in the number of deaths in two or three weeks.
