Today (23rd) around 10:10 am, an excavator was buried during the demolition of an existing building at the construction site of a new privately funded rental project for the Jeju National University Student Dormitory.
A 55-year-old excavator driver died at the scene in this accident.
It has been confirmed that A is the representative of the demolition company.
The accident is believed to have occurred when the chimney collapsed while Mr. A was working to demolish the chimney of an existing building with an excavator.
The fire department and police are investigating the details of the accident and are looking to see if the accident falls under the Serious Disaster Punishment Act.
