According to the head of the state corporation, it is important for Russia and Europe today to find new areas for further cooperation.

“One of these projects could be the retrofitting of the Soyuz launch complex in French Guiana to a manned level,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Rogozin noted that using Soyuz would be a good idea if European astronauts wanted to be able to get to the ISS on their own.

“This will save European taxpayers billions of euros and provide the European space industry with the opportunity to quickly enter the club of space powers with all the competencies in manned flights,” he explained.

On February 10, the Russian Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle with 34 British OneWeb spacecraft launched from the Kourou space center in French Guiana.
