The trial of Nordahl Lelandais continues at the special assize court in Grenoble.

On Monday, the judges tried to unravel the mystery around the man accused of the murders of Maëlys and Arthur Noyer.

Psychologists and psychiatrists will draw up his psychological profile on Tuesday.

The verdict of Nordahl Lelandais' trial is expected on Friday, after the hearing of psychologists and psychiatrists which continues on Tuesday.

For the moment, they agree on one point: his personality.

The former dog handler is on trial in the case of little Maëlys, who disappeared on the night of August 26 to 27, 2017 during a wedding in Isère.

Behind the shell of the accused actually hides a dual personality.

This means that in his head, Nordahl Lelandais is able to put the dark side of his personality aside and pretend his actions did not exist.

This allows him not to completely collapse, not to develop a depressive or suicidal disorder.

In short, telling the facts does not do him any good, says a psychiatrist.

The accused protects himself and for that, he adopts the logic of dissimulation.

His mythomania is constant, explained an expert.

Nordahl Lelandais even "simulated a hallucination on the evening of the facts".

He says he sees Arthur Noyer on Maëlys face, reason for his panic and beatings.

An unbelievable story for the psychiatrist.

According to him, Nordahl Lelandais presents a criminological danger due to the perverse dimension of his personality.

The person concerned has undertaken to do a long work on himself.

"I understood that I had to start from the beginning," he said simply.
