• Now essential to our televisions, sound bars are often bulky or unsightly.

    Even not always efficient.

  • With its discreet QP5 Eclair, LG is advancing a compact

    soundbar

which, with its wireless subwoofer, succeeds in the bet of power, but also that of a very enveloping sound.

  • Launched in September 2021 at 699 euros, it is now available from 429 euros.

The opportunity to listen more closely.

Looking for a perfect integration for the future soundbar of your TV?

After the reduced-size Sonos Beam (Gen 2), it is LG and its QP5 Eclair that pushes the mini-soundbar concept even further.

Has the South Korean manufacturer managed to reduce the size of its device without affecting either the power or the quality?

20 Minutes

tested it for a good week.

No bigger than a Bluetooth speaker

It's quite simple, when we unpacked the LG QP5 Eclair, we thought it was a Bluetooth speaker.

It was only when he took his subwoofer out of the box that doubts arose.

Measuring 29.6 x 12.6 x 5.9 cm for 1.5 kg, the soundbar is absolutely discreet.

Available in black and white, it is accompanied by a

wireless

subwoofer which measures 40 x 30 x 20 cm.

It can easily be hidden on the side of a sofa.

It is a 3.1.2 system (ie with three front channels, a subwoofer and two vertical channels).

Metamorphosed views

After installing it and connecting it via HDMI Arc to our TV, we immediately carried out some music streaming tests from our smartphone, the QP5 being Bluetooth 5.0.

This appetizer, combined with the discovery of the excellent album

This Is Really Going to Hurt

by the indie rock band Flyte, was rather exciting, the

soundbar

testifying on the one hand to its power (320 watts on the meter!), but also its ability to build a fairly immersive soundstage.

Confirmation with the (re)watching of the film

Don't Look Up, cosmic denial

, on Netflix.

This feature film of anticipation is no longer the same when viewed with the modest speakers of our television, or with the QP5 Eclair.

The

soundbar

was indeed instantly amazing.

Compatible with new consoles

Surprising, because its five loudspeakers of 20 watts each seem to give everything for the show.

Supported by its 220-watt box that incorporates two speakers placed back to back (to avoid vibrations, according to LG), the

soundbar

surprises not only with its power, but also with its ability to create a real sound stage. three-dimensional.

The viewer's immersion is therefore very real.

And if it is difficult to perceive real surround effects as a 5.1 home cinema set would render with more precision, the QP5 does not fail and knows how to create a real sound bubble.

Dolby Atmos and DTS-X, its HDMI CEC 2.1 connector makes it compatible with the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X game consoles.

Enough to seduce a very large public eager for thrills.

270 euro discount!

Launched at 699 euros in September 2021, LG's QP5 Eclair soundbar is now only worth 449 euros (and 429 euros on Amazon).

A vertiginous drop in price in just a few months which is enough to make those who have invested since its launch grumble.

But which has everything to delight those who would like to equip themselves today.

The next Winter Olympic Games (from February 4 to 20), but especially the Football World Cup (from November 21 to December 18) should boost sales of this type of equipment.
