Experts in the world of cars confirmed that there are five simple ways to detect tampering with the odometer numbers, which dealers and owners of used cars usually resort to, with the aim of selling them at a high price, and deluding the buyer that the car is in good condition.

Experts said that it is easy to fake and change the odometer of modern cars in various ways, through a socket or special connectors, or directly through the speedometer memory chip, as mechanics in any maintenance shop can do this.

They added: Although it is difficult to find out if the meter has been tampered with, discovering tampering can be linked to other things, including five simple ways that allow anyone who buys a used car to know whether the odometer has been tampered with or not.
