An apartment in Jung-gu, Daejeon is in the midst of finishing construction ahead of moving in in May.

A 40-year-old member of this apartment redevelopment union made a tempting offer to his acquaintance B to secure the right to move in for indigenous people and sell it at a lower price than the market price.

[Apartment redevelopment union member A: I mean, I made a part about the occupancy rights by working with people who could not enter from this area (redevelopment area).]

But it was different.

The documents such as the apartment supply contract, the contribution payment contract, and the receipt receipt given by Mr. A to the victims were fake, so there was no right to move in from the beginning.

The seals of the representatives of famous domestic construction companies were also stamped on the documents, but they were all false.

Being deceived by these words, 15 people suffered damages ranging from tens of millions of won to hundreds of millions of won over the past five years from 2016 to 1.5 billion won.

[Victim of occupancy right fraud: As a result of visiting and checking the union, there is no such contract in the union… .]

As complaints from the victims continued, the police and prosecutors' investigation began.

However, the court rejected the request for an arrest warrant for A in August of last year.

The reason for the dismissal was that Mr. A showed his will to settle, but the victims say that they have not been contacted from Mr. A since then.

In the meantime, the victims who lost their lifetime savings were left with nowhere to go.

[Victims of occupancy right fraud: There is a lot of family strife, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that I am living in hell.]

Mr. A, who was contacted by the reporters, refused to answer stating that it is a matter of legal dispute.
