▲ Dogs being dragged by trucks

A video of a truck running with two puppies hanging from the back of a vehicle is causing outrage.

The dogs could not beat the speed of the truck and were dragged and struggled in pain.

The Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced yesterday (17th) that a report that two dogs were caught behind a truck and dragged away from the 8-lane road in Munheung-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju was received at about 12:58 pm on the 15th.

A video taken by a driver who witnessed the situation at the time was released through an online community. In the video, two dogs tied to the back of the truck could not overcome the speed of the truck and were dragged over and dragged.

The truck driver even changed lanes whether he was aware of the situation or not.

Two other dogs were also in the truck's hold at the time, and I watched the dogs being dragged by the vehicle.

The police are checking nearby CCTVs to accurately understand the situation at the time and identify the driver.

Although it is possible that some of the dogs in the truck fell outside, the police plan to apply charges of violating the Animal Protection Act if it is confirmed that the dog was deliberately hung while driving.

** Under the current Animal Protection Act, in the case of animal cruelty resulting in death, the maximum penalty is imprisonment for not more than 3 years or a fine not exceeding 30 million won.
