The fire department plans to re-introduce rescue dogs in the afternoon to complete the search on the ground floor except for the part that is attached to the tower crane.
Removal of debris that has accumulated on the 23rd of the 4 basement floors and 39 above the ground is under discussion with related organizations, and wire reinforcement is being done to ensure safety.
The construction company, HDC Hyundai Development Company, Head of Safety Management Department, Min Seong-woo, explained that in order to dismantle the tower crane leaning on the collapsing building with the fixing device falling off, an additional 1,200-ton mobile dismantling crane was added in addition to the previously put in.
Since it is a large crane, if each part arrives during the same day, Unit 2 will be assembled at the accident site.
In addition, a total of three 250t, 200t, and 100t class cranes are put in for support and are doing electricity recovery work.
The tower crane in question is dismantled by a professional manpower by attaching a workbench to two large dismantling cranes.
First, reinforcement work is done to prevent collapse, and then the upper floors are dismantled sequentially, such as the upper boom, cockpit, and master (pillar).
Hyundai Development Company predicted that if the assembly of the dismantling crane is completed by the night of the 16th or the early morning of the 17th, the wire reinforcement work will be carried out for about two days, and then the dismantling will be completed on the 21st.
Earlier, around 3:46 pm on the 11th, part of the 23rd to 38th floors of an apartment building collapsed and fell, injuring one person and missing six construction workers.
One of the missing persons was found dead on the first basement floor on the 14th, and a search is underway to find the remaining five.
