Jeong Jin-sang, deputy chief of the Secretariat of the Democratic Party's Election Response Committee, who has delayed the investigation several times, was summoned privately on the 13th and was investigated by the prosecution.

Prosecutors conducted investigations until the dawn of the 14th, past midnight, with the consent of the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Deputy Chief of Staff Chung is an aide recognized by Democratic presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung and is considered as a key figure in the investigation of the allegations of Jangdong-dong.

It was also revealed that Yoo Dong-gyu, former head of the planning division of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, had spoken to the head of the government several times the day before and the morning of the raid.

Deputy Director Jeong appeared several times as an approver on documents related to the Daejang-dong project while serving as the head of the Seongnam City Policy Office.

He was also accused of being involved in the pressure of resignation of former Seongnam Urban Development Corporation president Hwang Moo-seong, but he appeared eight times under the title of 'Chief Jeong' in a conversation recording released in 2015 that Hwang had been forced to resign.

[Hwang Moo-seong/Ex-President: Oh, are you floating and pushing?]

[Yoo Han-ki/Former General Manager: I am, so both of them.]

[Hwang Moo-seong/Ex-President: Yeah? Director Jeong and Yoo Dong-gyu?]

[Yoo Han-ki/Former general manager: Yes.]

The statute of limitations on charges of abuse of power by the head of government over the allegation of pressure to resign from former president Hwang approached the beginning of next month.

In response, a civic group recently submitted a financial application to the court to decide whether or not to file a prosecution against the head of the government.

It is noteworthy whether the investigation by the head of the government will give momentum to the prosecution's investigation of Daejang-dong, which has not progressed after the prosecution of five people including Yoo Dong-gyu and Kim Man-bae.
