The police launched an investigation into the main participants of the popular uprising held in Yeouido Park on the afternoon of the 15th.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Illegal Demonstration Investigation Headquarters determined that the general uprising violated the Gypsies Act and the Prevention of Infectious Diseases Act.

The police and the Seoul Metropolitan Government have previously banned these protesters from gathering.

The police said that they plan to immediately ask the organizers and others to attend.

The general uprising was held with the National People's Action, composed of progressive-leaning groups, at the center.

An estimated 15,000 people participated in the rally that day.
