Police have arrested two teens who drove without a license after stealing a vehicle parked in an apartment parking lot with the door unlocked.

One of them committed the same offense the day after being questioned by the police for theft of a vehicle.

Gyeonggi Hanam Police Station announced today (12th) that they are investigating two teenagers, including Army A, on charges such as special theft.

Group A, who is a friend of the same age, is accused of stealing a car with an open door from the underground parking lot of an apartment building in Gangdong-gu, Seoul around 0:40 am yesterday and driving about 10 km to Hanam, Gyeonggi-do.

It was determined that the car key was contained in the stolen car and that Army A was able to drive.

It is known that on the morning of the same day, the police found out that Army A and others paid 4,000 won with a credit card in the vehicle at a convenience store in Hanam, and arrested those who were parked near the convenience store.

Group A, who returned home after being investigated by the police as a suspect on the day of the arrest, stole another unlocked car from the underground parking lot of an apartment in Hanam at around 4 am the next day.

He was arrested in downtown Hanam around 8 am, about 4 hours later, by a police officer who received a report from the owner of the car and started to pursue it.

It is reported that Army A and others made statements to the effect that "they committed the crime out of curiosity" during the police investigation.

A police official said, "Group A and others are not subject to criminal punishment because they are not juveniles under the law (a criminal minor between the ages of 10 and 14)."
