Police are investigating the cause of death after the death of the person who first reported the 'suspected payment of attorney's fees' by Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.



According to the police on the 12th, the Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul found Lee's body in a motel in Yangcheon-gu around 8:40 pm the day before.



It is reported that Lee's older sister reported, "I haven't been able to communicate with my brother for several days," and the police started a search.



It is said that Lee stayed at the motel for a considerable period of time.



As no clues were found in Lee's body to determine the cause of death, the police plan to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and analyze closed circuit (CC) TV.



No suicide note was found at the scene.



Lee is the person who reported the transcript to the 'Awakening Citizens' Solidarity Party', claiming that in 2018, candidate Lee paid 2 billion won in cash and stocks as a fee to a lawyer appointed as a lawyer in cases such as violations of the Public Official Election Act. to be.



Based on the transcript, the Awakening Citizens' Solidarity Party filed a complaint with the prosecution in October of last year.



The case is being investigated by the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office.
