Fires broke out in various parts of the country last night (12th) amid a bitter cold wave. A fire broke out at a textile factory in Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and firefighting work has been ongoing for over 12 hours.

Yesterday at 6:15 PM, a fire broke out at a textile factory in Soheul-eup, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.



The fire department extinguished the fire in 40 minutes, but the fire did not go out easily due to a lot of textile fabrics in the factory, so an excavator is used to extinguish the fire for 12 hours.



No one was injured in the fire, but both buildings were burned.



The fire department plans to determine the extent of the damage and investigate the exact cause of the fire as soon as the fire is extinguished.

A fire broke out in Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do at about 8:50 yesterday evening and was extinguished in an hour.



There were no private houses nearby, so no one was injured, but 500 square meters of forest were burned.



Forest authorities believe that the fire started due to a true story of a mountaineer and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.

Earlier, yesterday, at around 4:40 pm, a fire broke out on the first floor of a four-story multi-family house in Haeundae-gu, Busan, and it was extinguished in 20 minutes.



The fire caused property damage estimated at 32 million won by the fire department, and a man in his 50s who lived on the first floor was seriously injured and taken to the hospital, but died.



Two other residents also received first aid after inhaling smoke.



Police and fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
