Safety diagnosis has been carried out since the morning of the 12th at the construction site where the high-rise apartment collapse accident occurred in Hwajeong-dong, Gwangju.

Earlier, the fire department stopped the search for six workers who had not been contacted after the accident at around 8 pm last night.

This is because there is a risk that the 140m tower crane built next to the apartment where the accident occurred is at risk of collapse.

Authorities plan to resume the search operation as soon as the safety examination is completed.

It is known that the six missing workers worked on windows between the 28th and 31st floors.

The city of Gwangju said that Hyundai Industrial Development, the contractor for the accident, had ordered to stop all on-site construction in Gwangju.

In June last year, when a building being demolished in Hak-dong, Gwangju collapsed, 9 people were killed and 8 people were injured.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor established the Central Industrial Accident Management Headquarters for accident management, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to establish the Central Construction Accident Investigation Committee to investigate the cause.

It is known that the police who formed the investigation headquarters also secured and analyzed CCTV, and called some construction officials to complete the first investigation.
